Kyrsten Sinema stands behind her anti-immigrant bill, co-sponsored by Ron Gould and 9 other TEApublicans

The old Sinema filed complaints about the misuse of Arizona's human smuggling and drop house laws. The new Sinema increases the penalty using these same laws.

According to ARS 13-2319, human smuggling is defined as having an undocumented person in your vehicle.

No mention of being caged, no mention of being transported against their will — all that is required is that the person be undocumented.

This bill was originally known as the “coyote bill” and its intent was to crack down on the evil human smugglers we all hear about on the news, the ones where half-naked people come out after not seeing the sunlight for days, or after being found in fake compartments of vehicles.

Unfortunately, this bill was immediately abused by Sheriff Arpaio and others. As you can probably guess, the definition of human smuggling is horrible, and indeed easily leads to misuse.

If you give a friend or family member a ride to the store in your car, you are now “human smuggling” and guilty of a class 4 felony. You vehicle gets immediately impounded.

Complaint filed by Kyrsten Sinema against these "human smuggling" bills... now she has authored her own with Ron Gould.

This is not hypothetical. This is what really happens in Arizona. I have close family members were this scenario occurred to them. But this is not just known by me, it is known by many groups, including LULAC, SOMOS America, and state senator Kyrsten Sinema.

They jointly filed a lawsuit against ARS 13-2319 for being misused. The judge ruled against them, saying that it is not the intent of the lawmaker that matters, but the actual wording of the law that counts.

This is all strange because now Kyrsten Sinema, who was one of the persons that sued against this human smuggling bill, now wants to jump on board the anti-immigration bandwagon. Her bill SB1225 makes the increases the penalty for ARS 13-2319 to a class 3 felony.

Sheriff Arpaio loves the bill. Pima County Sheriff Dupnik says it is not needed.

Why is Sinema even thinking about giving Sheriff Arpaio more power to, in her own words describing her own bill, get “tough on immigration.”

Really Kyrsten? You want Sheriff Arpaio to get even tougher on immigrants?

PHOENIX – A new state bill is taking aim at drop houses in Arizona and would create a brand new felony charge to help crack down on smugglers.

In her brightly decorated office, Democratic State Senator Kyrsten Sinema excitedly explains the bill she helped draft, which is supported by several Republicans.

“I’m really proud of the bill, 1225, the bill would punish the people who operate those drop houses,” Sinema tells ABC15.

via New bill takes aim at drop houses, smugglers in Arizona.

Her bill has no Democratic co-sponsors, but has a whopping 10 repugnant Republican co-sponsors. Real immigration bashers such as…

ron gould

Arizona state senator Ron Gould, sponsor of SB1225

Ron Gould, flat-topped TEApublican with a “Don’t tread on me sticker on his laptop on the senate floor” who sponsored the 14th Amendment / anchor baby bills…

Scott Bundgaard, the former majority leader who was recently demoted for domestic violence…

Frank Antenori from Tucson and Andy Biggs, the new majority leader, who devote themselves to the most right-wing of activities, and 6 more…

These are the people behind SB1225… behind Kyrsten Sinema’s anti-immigrant bill that gives Sheriff Arpaio more power to go after immigrants.

It seems as if Sinema is really hoping on TEA Party support when she runs for US Congress by throwing away her Latino support, but somehow I think that she will never win them over.

Unless, of course, it is by writing a xenophobic bill of your own. Being anti-Latino, which SB1225 is, is popular in Arizona 2011.

I’d rather Democrats pass no bills this year than sponsor anti-immigrant bills with Ron Gould as Kyrsten Sinema has.

I’m confused. How does this bill prevent immigrants from lawfully entering the US through Ports of Entry?

    1. You are indeed a confused person
