On Rats, Rocks, Goats and Liars: Presenting The Ig Nobels

With the world too much with us, we honor the winners of the 26th First Annual (yes) Ig Nobel Prizes, celebrating wild if minimally useful science research around the world. Winners include a brand analysis of rock personalities (Economics), a three-volume work on collecting flies (Literature), an effort to live as a badger (Biology), and, key in this election season, a philosophical study on bullshit (Peace Prize); the authors conclude, “Bullshit may be more pervasive than ever before.”
