CNN reporters just noticed this strange pattern at Trump’s press conferences

Syndicated from post here.

At a press conference Wednesday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Trump continued his pattern of mostly only taking questions from journalists working for conservative news outlets.

The Christian Broadcasting Network and Townhall were allowed to ask questions Wednesday. The Daily Caller, Sinclair Broadcasting, The New York Post, Fox Business Network, Reuters, and Fox News have been allowed to ask the president questions within the last week.

Trump was not asked by conservative media about the resignation of Trump’s national security advisor Michael T Flynn or about the multiple intercepted calls from Trump campaign officials and high ranking Russian intelligence officials at Wednesday’s press conference.

CNN’s Jim Acosta attempted to ask Trump a question about Russia, but was ignored. Acosta could be heard saying “The fix is in” after the conference ended.

“It would be nice if the conservative outlets that the president is calling on would ask him tough questions,” said CNN’s John King. “They would actually, instead of trying to curry favor with this president, they might do him a favor by letting him answer these questions because until he answers these questions, the story isn’t going away.”

Trump has regularly made a point to brand all media which is critical to his administration as “fake news,” particularly going after CNN and The New York Times.
